"Art and Design have an opportunity to lead visionary ideas for the future.  But artists and designers need to learn about how to think about the future first.

"There are ways of thinking about the future that allow creative interpretation of complex adaptive systems which are applicable to many domains, including science, technology, sociology, economics, archeology, anthropology and psychology Artists too may find great value in matters of the future that allow for a deeper, richer inquiry.

"While some 20th century questions that artists are concerned about today are valuable and worth cogitating over, others such as the usefulness of art are worn-out. Often I hear artists debating about the usefulness or art, a topic designers are not at issue with.  If it inspires, informs, explains, provokes, and gives humanity new and fresh ways of experiencing the world; it is a  benefit to society.    I say, move on and be visionary - be daring and create."
